2026 ジロ・デッレミリア 世界王者ブランドン・マクナリティの走りは?

イタリアの、エミリア・ロマーニャ地方のボローニャ近郊で開催されるジロ・デッレミリア。Giro dell’Emilia(1.Pro)

1909年から開催されており、今年で109回目となる。最後のサン・ルーカの登り周回で決勝だ。

来週の落ち葉のクラシック、イル・ロンバルディアを占う上でも上位に入るライダーの調子を見るのに良いレースだ。

フェラーラ～ ボローニャ 　197.9km

 

スタートはフェラーラに代わっている。フィニッシュから37.2kmで、ライダーは初めてサン・ルーカの麓に到着。ここから9.3kmの5周回で勝者が決まる。最大勾配は14%あり、最後は小集団での登りゴールとなる。

昨年同様、グランツールの総合優勝争いのような豪華メンバーで勝負となる。

トム・ピドコックが追走から猛追。しかし～。

 

ダビデ・ピガンゾーリが逃げきった!

後ろでマッテオ・ヨルゲルソン、ベン・トゥレットが追走を邪魔していたのが大きい。今シーズンの6勝目。

2位はトム・ピドコック。今シーズン何回2位になっただろうか。3位にはNetcompany INEOSのオスカー・オンリーが入っている。

なお、世界王者のブランドン・マクナリティは10位でアルカンシェルデビューしている。

 

リザルト

優勝したTeam Visma | Lease a Bikeのダビデ・ピガンゾーリ

このレースに出場して4年になるが、いつも気に入っている。ルクセンブルク・ツアーと世界選手権の後、コンディションは良かった。

調子が良いことは分かっていたが、時差が心配だった。今日のTeam Visma | Lease a Bikeの目標は、私とヨルゲンソンに加え、最もスピードのある切り札であるベン・トゥレットを最終局面まで残すことだった。

最後の登りでは体調が万全ではなかったため、チームメイトに「全速力で先頭に行く」と伝えた。彼らが隙間を作ってくれたおかげで、ライバルたちは互いに様子をうかがうことになり、結果的に最良の展開になった。

今年は本当に大きな飛躍を遂げることができた。それはチームや、家族、そして恋人のようにいつも支えてくれた人たちに感謝しなければならない。次の目標？ 来週の土曜日に開催されるイル・ロンバルディアだ。
