2026年にワールドツアーチームが使用する機材については気になるところ。
まず、今シーズンはワールドチームの入れ替えがあった。3年間のUCIランキングにもとづくものだ。
Arkéa – B&B Hotelsは消滅。さらにLottoとIntermarché – Wantyが合併。
予算上限については変わらない。富めるチームはさらに裕福に、スポンサーが得られないチームは非常に厳しい。
チーム名が変更となるのが3チーム。Alpecin-Premier Tech、NSN Cycling Team、Decathlon CMA CGM Team、Groupama – FDJ United。

コンポがSRAMに変わったのは、NSN Cycling Team、Decathlon CMA CGM、EF Education-EasyPost、Uno-X Mobilityと4チーム。全部で8チーム。Shimanoの牙城に迫っている。
Shimanoは、10チーム。CampagnoloはCofidisをサポートしていたけれど、プロチームとなってしまったので、ワールドチームではCampagnoloは見られなくなる。

チーム名、バイク、コンポ、ホイール、アパレルスポンサー、パーツと変更。チーム国籍はスイスとなりチームはイメージ一新をはかろうとしている。
Factorはワールドチームからは姿を消してしまったし。チームユニフォームもガラッと変わった。

私が中々なれないのは、Bahrain Victoriousのユニフォーム。これまでのレッドから大胆に濃いブルー基調にデザインを変更。
2025年のDecathlon AG2R La Mondiale Teamの色に似ていてレースで見ていて何度間違えたことか。
